Welcome to the current News section of Kingsteignton Bowls Club.

 There are organised roll-ups for members every weekday afternoon, arriving by 1-00 PM for a 1-15 PM start officially but usually commences about 1-00 PM subject to rink space and/or club matches. There is also a practice session Wednesday mornings, to arrive by 9-15 AM for a 9-30 start. Traditionally this ‘roll up’ was for the men’s Over 55’s practice but now the ladies are welcome to join in. All these practice sessions are enjoyed 12 months of the year, weather permitting, thanks to our synthetic playing surface.

During the Summer months, we provide a Wednesday evening practice session starting at 5-45 PM. This ‘roll up’ generally draws a good crowd and is great fun.

The HeraldExpress paper does not publish KBC’s league results against neighbouring clubs during the season but the Mid Devon Advertiser does. Both newspapers are happy to publish news of in-house functions/events and competitions, ideally supported with photos. N.B. The MDA always now requires a photo of club matches to support the written write up.

Bowls England usually plan a full domestic programme for national competitions, including county matches.

During March 2023 our all-weather synthetic playing surface was replaced with a top grade material. This playing surface is the same material as used on the outdoor green at the championship venue Potters Leisure Resort, Norfolk.
